My 050 is a service that allows you to place cheap phone calls to regular phone numbers in Japan and any other country in the world.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES FOR 050 NUMBER HOLDERS:
- Unlimited free calls between My 050 users
- Free access to 0120 Free Dial numbers
- Receive free calls from any other phone
- Call forwarding service from your 050 IP-number to any number in Japan or abroad

FEES:
On September 1st, 2022, we will introduce the following two My 050 Number Service fees:
- an application fee of 550 yen
- a maintenance fee of 550 yen, every 6 months

Users who subscribe before September 1st, 2022 or those who apply for the service via our authorized agents will not pay the maintenance fee until April 1st, 2023.

Add credits to your account (by credit card, PayPal, or at convenience stores in Japan with My Payment) and enjoy some of the lowest calling rates in the market!

Please note that in order for us to issue a 050 number, the law requires that we get from the user personal identification valid in Japan.

If no valid personal identification can be provided, we can issue a Brastel account without a 050 number, in which case, all calls, including those to other My 050 users, will be charged. The maintenance and application fees do not apply in this case.

Pros and cons of My 050 app for iPhone and iPad

My 050 app good for

The app used to crash before, but after the last update it doesnt anymore. Its a good app. The quality of the calls is good, even the free calls to other 050 Free numbers. Calls to other numbers, in Japan or international, are very cheap too. You can get a 050 number (IP phone number in Japan) for free, but you need to have a mobile phone in Japan first to receive a verification code by SMS. If you do, its very easy to set up though. Im happy with the app.

I reinstalled the updated version the problem disappeared and it is working just fine now! :)

I use this to call other countries, tried from Wi-Fi and 4G. Call quality is fine and clear.

Some bad moments

I cant understand why this app wont support dialing with + before country code, most voip apps supports both dialing with or without +, everyones contact has + thats why we can even use viber, line. Whatsapp etc, I dont have to be editing a contract before dialing.
